About Tapara Food
Venezuelan breakfasts and smoked-food sandwiches in Alcalá
Tapara Food began with two sisters and a food truck built around smoked foods. That project, SmokeHub, later grew into a café and restaurant in Alcalá de Henares, where Venezuelan staples meet a playful house creation: the Briochadillo, a brioche-style sandwich the sisters developed and named in 2022. The story gives the menu a clear point of view, shaped by family initiative and a willingness to keep experimenting.
Breakfast and afternoon snacks bring Venezuelan pastries, cachitos, golfeados, coffee, and house-made cakes into the picture; the savory menu adds arepas, cachapas, tequeños, empanadas, and smoked fillings. Tapara’s own bakery prepares many of the sweets and baked goods, and the kitchen offers catering for celebrations. It is a useful stop for a leisurely breakfast or coffee break, as well as for a more substantial taste of Venezuelan cooking in the university city.
