A Contract Partner for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

ROIS is a Spanish pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), formerly known as ROVI CM and ROVI Pharma Industrial Services. It manufactures pharmaceutical products under contract, with two main areas: injectables, including aseptic filling, and solid dosage forms. Its injectable and solid-dose facilities are in the Madrid metropolitan area.

The company offers an integrated service covering production, analysis, packaging, and storage, from project development through product release, including pilot and commercial-scale batches.

ROIS has more than 25 years of experience in aseptic filling for biologics and vaccines. In 2012, its injectable facilities received FDA approval. In 2020, it signed an agreement with Moderna to become the first contract manufacturing organization in Europe to fill and finish the COVID-19 vaccine.

History

• 1946: ROVI was founded.
• 1995: Contract manufacturing services began.
• 2006: The manufacturing division separated from the main group and established an injectable facility, forming ROVI CM.
• 2010: The company expanded into solid dosage forms after acquiring the FDA-approved MSD Frosst Ibérica S.A. facility.
• 2012: The Madrid injectable facility received FDA approval.
• 2015: A new injectable facility in San Sebastián de los Reyes was acquired.
• 2019: All contract manufacturing facilities were brought together under ROVI Pharma Industrial Services.
• 2025: The company acquired a sterile-product manufacturing and packaging facility in Phoenix, Arizona, and changed its brand to ROIS.
