About Son Blanc Farmhouse Menorca

Son Blanc Farmhouse Menorca: rural accommodation and regenerative farm in Alaior

Son Blanc Farmhouse Menorca is a hospitality project located in a preserved natural setting on the island of Menorca. It spans 130 hectares that combine a nature reserve, a working farm and a 14-room accommodation. The proposal is built around sustainability, collaboration with the natural environment and social connection.

A converted Menorcan farmhouse

The project began with the restoration of a traditional Menorcan farmhouse that had been dormant. Its conversion into a 14-room accommodation was carried out through collaboration between architects and artisans, using natural materials such as stone, clay, wood and textiles. The stated goal is to move toward self-sufficiency in energy, water and food without compromising comfort.

Regenerative agriculture and farm ecosystem

Regenerative agriculture is the cornerstone of Son Blanc's farming activity. The system is based on crop diversity, soil fertility and long-term sustainability. The farm animals — hens, pigs, donkeys, cows, sheep and bees — play a role in regenerating the land, closing natural cycles and building the resilience of the ecosystem. The farm's produce serves as the foundation for the project's holistic health and wellbeing approach.

Seasonal cuisine and charcoal fire

The accommodation's kitchen adapts to the rhythms of the land and is supplied daily from the farm, the fields and the sea. The culinary offering is described as primitive, earthy and generous, shaped by charcoal fire and made with fresh, organic local ingredients. Meals range from relaxed lunches under the olive trees to evening gatherings around the table.

Natural surroundings and immersive experiences

The reserve surrounding the accommodation is conceived as a space for exploration and contact with nature. The landscape includes an edible forest, a fruit orchard, almond and olive groves, as well as vegetable and aromatic herb gardens. Beyond, two wild ravines are home to endemic species and natural rock formations, crowned by pine and oak woods with sea views.

Accommodation and dining

The establishment allows guests to book accommodation, table and experiences. The offering is organised around stays, dining and activities linked to the natural environment and the farm.
