Address: Trg republike 3/XI, 11th floor, 1000 Ljubljana. Telephone +386 1 200 8281 or 8282; email info@s2.mofa.go.jp. Current published consular and cultural counter hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 1:30–4:30 p.m., except holidays. Email to confirm whether your procedure requires an appointment or a scheduled collection; an online certificate application does not mean the document can be delivered by post.
Services listed include ordinary passports, renewals or replacements and emergency procedures; overseas-residence registration; birth, marriage, divorce and nationality filings; residence, birth, marriage, divorce, civil-status, signature/fingerprint, translation and police certificates; overseas voting; assistance and safety guidance. Some certificates may be applied for online but must be collected in person. Ordinary passports are produced in Tokyo, so allow for shipping in addition to local review.
In June 2026, the Embassy warned that fee changes and centralised production could lengthen processing. Apply with time to spare, consult current notices and state the travel date and exact procedure when writing. The current official site identifies Yoshida as Ambassador. Google Maps metrics are omitted because we could not verify both rating and review count for the exact office listing.
