Weston’s soccer culture is visible in the number of fields it uses, but the choice for a family comes down to three very different commitments. Weston FC runs a competitive, ten-month club season; AYSO Region 644 organizes balanced community teams with Saturday games; FUTSOC sells academy blocks that combine technical work and tournament play. All three use fields in and around Weston, so a team’s actual location can matter as much as its badge.
Three programs, three levels of commitment
Weston FC is the largest competitive operation in the guide. Founded in 1998, the nonprofit says it has about 1,000 players ages 7–19 across roughly 70 teams. It lists boys’ and girls’ competition, MLS NEXT, National Academy League and college-advisory resources. The club’s need-based aid is limited, usually averages about 20% of a registration bill, requires the initial registration payment and volunteer hours at the Weston Cup; it is explicitly not a scholarship.
AYSO Region 644 is built around seasonal participation and balanced teams. Its current Fall 2026 registration page lists $205 early, $235 regular and $285 late, plus possible taxes and fees; the season is now underway and the waitlist began August 1. The fee includes ten games, a full uniform, trophy, insurance and a photo package. U5/U6 receive one practice a week; U7 and older teams practice twice, with volunteer coaches setting the days. Free EPIC soccer for ages four and older is a separate inclusive program on Sundays at Weston Regional Park.
FUTSOC publishes a more structured academy menu: Bambinos ages 5–7 at $500 per fall or spring block, and Youth Academy ages 8–18 at $1,360 for September–May, with two and three weekly sessions respectively. Its site also lists camps and a separate 19-plus amateur program. The quoted fee does not establish whether tournament travel or every uniform cost is included, so request a complete budget before enrollment.
Fields spread across two municipalities
The field map explains why “Weston” on a team page does not always mean one address. Weston FC identifies Vista Park and Weston Regional Park inside Weston, plus Mision Vida and Archbishop McCarthy fields in adjacent Southwest Ranches. AYSO holds its practices and matches at Weston Regional Park; FUTSOC is based at Tequesta Trace Park. The City of Weston’s Sports Alliance lists soccer alongside other local sports and publishes field maps. Confirm the exact complex, field number, age-group calendar and parking plan after teams are formed.
Professional soccer nearby
Weston itself has no Division I professional club. Nearby, Fort Lauderdale United’s women compete in the USL Gainbridge Super League, a U.S. Soccer Division I competition, at Amerant Bank Field in Davie; Inter Miami CF plays MLS at Miami Freedom Park in Miami. None of the three youth organizations in this guide claims an affiliation with those teams. Start with the child’s age and appetite for competition, then compare practice nights, weekend travel and the full seasonal bill rather than choosing on league labels alone.
Confirm the child’s team, current field assignment and full season cost before registering.
