Orlando’s youth soccer choices range from a community league built around Saturday games to a tryout-based academy that trains several evenings each week. A family in Conway, South Orlando or Hunter’s Creek may also cross the city boundary for a field, so the training address deserves as much attention as the club name. South Orlando Soccer Club lists a recreational development program for ages 3 through middle school at Barber Park and Young Pine Park. Hunter’s Creek Soccer Club organizes age-specific recreational cycles at Osprey Park. Orlando City Soccer School South is a more selective competitive pathway with practices at Austin-Tindall Soccer Complex in Kissimmee.
For a first or recreational season, South Orlando Soccer Club’s fall 2026 fee is $225. The club says it includes a weekly Coerver-led skills session, game and training shirts, shorts and socks; families must provide shin guards and a practice ball, while cleats are optional. Its fall season began in September and finishes November 14, with all games on Saturday mornings at Barber Park. Practices may be assigned at Barber Park or Young Pine and most teams meet Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. The published team schedule is set after rosters form, so the posted weekday pattern is not a promise of a particular team’s hours.
Hunter’s Creek is about to begin a shorter Fall 2 cycle, listed for November 4 through December 19. Its current page prices the tots group at $35 a month for November and December, U5–U6 at $45 a month and U7–U14 at $77 a month, plus a $39 registration fee. Sessions are assigned by birth year: the youngest group meets Saturday mornings with a parent, while older groups practice on a weekday and play Saturday at Osprey Park. Those are the club’s posted figures, not a guaranteed quote for a future season; check for uniform, equipment, taxes or any current registration restrictions before paying.
When the family is ready for a club pathway
Orlando City Soccer School South is designed for players seeking a structured competitive program. Its 2026–27 page lists U11 and U12 teams in Florida Academy League and U13–U19 teams in MLS NEXT. The club describes four 90-minute training sessions per week and weekend games during a September-to-May season; teams are formed through tryouts, and the precise schedule is assigned by team. The academy office is in Orlando, but the main training and competition venue is Austin-Tindall Soccer Complex at 4100 Boggy Creek Road in Kissimmee, outside Orlando city limits. The fee page still refers to the 2025–26 season and asks families to contact the academy for tuition, so a reliable 2026–27 total should be requested directly rather than copied from an older cycle.
Orlando also has visible professional teams: Orlando City plays in Major League Soccer and the Orlando Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League, both at downtown Inter&Co Stadium. That is useful context for a city where the professional game has a central venue and youth programs extend well south into the suburbs. The academy does not become a professional club simply because its name includes Orlando City, and a local team’s league affiliation should not be mistaken for an automatic player pathway. To choose well, compare the child’s birth year and experience, the number of weekly sessions, the drive to the actual park and the complete cost—including kit and tournaments—then ask whether the program has space in the current cycle.
Confirm the child’s team, current field assignment and full season cost before registering.
