About Weston FC

Weston FC is the most competition-oriented option in this set. The nonprofit says it began in 1998 with 100 players and now has about 1,000 players ages seven to nineteen across roughly 70 teams. Its season lasts ten months, and the boys and girls pathways include nationally organized leagues. That scale can offer a serious ladder, but it also means families should ask early about evaluation, travel, tournament weekends and the full cost attached to a team.

The club’s story is written across four separate complexes, not one campus. Vista Park has four fields, two turf, with concessions and restrooms between them; at Weston Regional, the club names grass fields 7 and 8. Its Mision Vida site and Archbishop McCarthy fields are in adjacent Southwest Ranches. The exact field depends on the squad, so the contact address at Suite 264 on Weston Road is an administrative office rather than a universal practice location.

Weston FC founded its Weston Cup and Showcase in 2001; the club says it now draws more than 1,000 teams. It also identifies itself as a founding boys’ MLS NEXT member in 2020, while its current pages list National Academy League and other competitive platforms. These are meaningful program markers, not a guarantee of playing time or a college placement for an individual player.

The club does publish need-based help, but its terms matter: the fund is limited, usually covers about 20% of the total fee, requires an initial registration payment with the application, and asks recipients to volunteer at the Weston Cup. The organization explicitly says it is not a scholarship. Weston FC sits west of Fort Lauderdale and north of Miami; professional games nearby include Fort Lauderdale United women in the USSF Division I Super League in Davie and MLS side Inter Miami in Miami. Those teams are not listed as formal partners of the youth club.
