Point Flagship combines financial support with leadership, career development, and community resources for LGBTQ+ and ally students pursuing undergraduate, graduate, or professional degrees. The fall 2027 cohort offers awards of up to $15,000, with support for a maximum of four years, subject to selection and continuation rules. The page does not promise that every scholar receives the maximum or that tuition is fully covered; it is a competitive award paired with programming.
The 2027 application opened September 9 and closes November 19, 2026, at 5 p.m. Pacific. Applicants need at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA, full-time enrollment at an accredited nonprofit U.S. institution, and LGBTQ+ membership or ally status. High-school seniors may apply if they meet the program’s senior-standing requirement at application time; fully online programs are ineligible.
Alongside the award, scholars attend an in-person summer conference and virtual programming during each academic term; Point also describes an alumni network, workshops, and professional connections. Read the full application and submit materials before the last day: semifinalists may receive additional instructions, and prior applications are not available to reuse. Former recipients may apply again only if they exited their prior program in active status, and students cannot hold two Point scholarships at once.
Before applying, confirm the correct cohort, time zone, documents your school must submit, and whether funds are applied to tuition or other costs. Your institution’s financial-aid office can explain how the award interacts with FAFSA and outside scholarships.
Read the aid-program profile and the FAFSA guide; your institution’s financial-aid office can verify your individual case.
