In Downtown Miami, a family can choose between an hour devoted to ball skills, a tryout-based team pathway and a first playful class for a toddler. These options sit close to one another on a map but serve different stages. Pro Football Academy at The Match on 5th publishes a Wednesday technical session for ages 5–14 and a $150 monthly fee. Athletum FC at Dorsey Park spans recreational preschool activity through competitive and MLS NEXT age groups. Brickell Soccer Rooftop hosts Super Soccer Stars classes starting at age two, plus pre-soccer for toddlers 12–24 months.
The distinction is practical. PFA’s one-hour class is an additional coaching option, with Discovery, Foundation and Development phases and a free first session. Athletum asks competitive players to try out, while its 2026–27 program page also lists recreational groups; families can begin in Pre-Academy rather than assume every pathway is elite. The rooftop venue is both a children’s-class location and a bookable sports facility, with two lighted turf fields, full netting and padded walls. Its public page does not give a recurring class timetable or price. Use each organization’s registration page to ask about openings, age placement, uniforms, weather and the full season cost.
Where the fields fit into the city
The three sites serve the urban core from different edges: The Match on 5th is on NW 5th Street; Dorsey Park is in the Overtown/Downtown area; and the rooftop facility sits on Brickell Avenue. That makes an exact field address more useful than a broad “Miami” label, especially at pickup time. The City’s Dorsey Park listing confirms 1701 NW 1st Avenue. The rooftop operator’s live booking calendar is the source for field reservations, while team families should ask for the exact entrance and practice section. Do not assume that a park’s public parking or an adjacent garage is included in an academy fee; verify it with the venue.
Public transportation can help with the urban locations. Miami-Dade describes the Metromover as a free service through Downtown, Omni and Brickell, connecting 21 stations; the County also connects the system to Metrorail and other transit. A current service notice says the Financial District station closed temporarily for upgrades beginning October 24, 2026, with modified Brickell Loop service. Check the live notice before selecting a route, and leave time for the walk from a station to the field. For Dorsey Park, confirm the team’s precise field and entry with the coach rather than relying on the club’s general schedule.
Professional soccer nearby, youth programs separately
Miami’s professional context is now visible inside the city: Inter Miami CF opened Nu Stadium at Miami Freedom Park on April 4, 2026, as its 26,700-seat MLS home. MLS is the top domestic league, while this guide’s programs are youth providers with their own registration and coaching structures. No affiliation between the listed organizations and Inter Miami is stated here. For a child’s next step, compare the training aim first—fundamentals, regular recreational play or a competitive tryout—then confirm the practice schedule and every charge. The academy with the strongest fit is the one whose commitment matches the player’s age, experience and family week.
Confirm the child’s team, current field assignment and full season cost before registering.

Super Soccer Stars at Brickell Soccer Rooftop
444 Brickell Avenue, Miami, FL 33131
This Brickell rooftop combines a small-sided soccer venue with an early-childhood pathway. The operator says Super Soccer Stars runs its official children’s program here for ages two and up, with a pre-soccer introduction for toddlers from 12 to 24 months. That makes it a different proposition from
