Pro Football Academy — Downtown Miami

At The Match on 5th, Pro Football Academy treats an hour on the field as a coaching session rather than a weekend league. Its Downtown Miami program is open to ages five through fourteen, from first-time players to children seeking extra technical work alongside a team. The published pathway names Discovery for ages 5–7, Foundation for 8–10 and Development for 11–14, with a Wednesday class currently listed from 5 to 6 p.m. The academy advertises a free, no-obligation first session and a monthly price of $150.

The location is an outdoor turf venue at 444 NW 5th Street, close to the central Miami neighborhoods the academy names on its page. The public timetable groups all three age bands into the same Wednesday hour; it does not show the exact field allocation or guarantee that a new player can join on any given week. Parents can use the academy’s trial form to ask about space, equipment, weather cancellations and how the personal player assessment works after the first session. The academy lists its Miami office phone as 786-224-7995.

The curriculum moves from ball exploration and physical literacy to technical choices, game understanding and teamwork. That makes the program a practical supplement for a child who wants structured repetitions without immediately entering a tryout-based club. The fee is billed monthly, but families should confirm any current enrollment or equipment charges with the academy. Downtown and Brickell have free Metromover service, although the Financial District station is temporarily closed during system work that began October 24, 2026; check the County’s live service notice before planning a trip.
