Hollywood, Florida contractors for construction and remodeling

Three Hollywood-based contractors with active state credentials, covering residential renovations, new construction, commercial build-outs, structural work and project management.

Hollywood's housing and business districts generate projects at very different scales: a kitchen renovation in a single-family home, storm-resistant windows, repairs to concrete or a commercial interior planned around tenants. The city’s Building Division reviews plans and inspects construction, and its current online portal accepts new permit applications and lets users follow records and inspections. For a homeowner, that public system is part of the job: the contractor should be able to explain which permits apply and who will close them.

Three Hollywood firms with different portfolios

Rosemont Construction, the construction division of Rosemont Ventures Group, says it is based in Hollywood and works across Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach. Its published scope ranges from custom homes, additions and full-house remodeling to commercial tenant build-outs, impact windows and doors, concrete restoration and structural repair. The company says it pulls building permits, coordinates trade permits and inspections, and uses written estimates and change orders. Its site gives a Hollywood base and a phone number, but not a street office for walk-in visits.

MTC General Contractors publishes a Hollywood Boulevard office and a South Florida service area. Its listed services span project management, general contracting, commercial construction, residential remodeling, civil and structural work, MEP coordination, building-envelope work and roofing. The company’s project materials range beyond Hollywood, so a proposal should identify which team and local trade partners would handle the particular address. Its Florida Certified General Contractor license was active in the state record checked for this guide.

Urban Group Contractors lists a Fletcher Street address in Hollywood and describes itself as a design-build and general construction firm. The portfolio includes residential renovations and new construction as well as commercial interiors; the company also lists preconstruction estimating and construction management. Its approach is useful to compare when a client wants design and construction coordinated by one firm, but the proposal still needs to spell out the design deliverables, engineering responsibility, trade contracts and permit handling.

Use the city record alongside the state license

Hollywood’s online permit portal explains how to submit and track a project, upload documents, schedule inspections and search permit records. A permit is not a substitute for checking the contractor: verify the license number, the legal business name and its qualifying contractor in the Florida registry. For work involving electrical, plumbing, roofing or other regulated trades, confirm who will perform each scope and which license covers it.

Before the first payment, ask for the project address, a written scope and an estimated schedule with milestones. Identify demolition, structural changes, windows, electrical, plumbing, finishes, allowances and exclusions separately. The contract should say who applies for permits, whether association or owner approvals are needed, how concealed conditions and price changes are authorized, and what documents will be delivered at close-out. These questions are practical for a small renovation as well as for a commercial build-out.

Choose by evidence that fits your project

A firm with a custom-home portfolio may not be the right fit for an occupied retail site; a contractor with commercial and civil capacity may be more than a small interior project requires. Review the company’s published work, then ask for references and examples similar in size, building type and permit complexity. Request the certificate of insurance directly from the contractor and confirm coverage dates before work starts.

The three profiles below were selected for a Hollywood presence or published Hollywood office and a Florida license that appeared current and active in the October 31, 2026 check. This is an editorial directory, not an endorsement or ranking. Confirm the current record, city permit requirements and the license holder’s role for your specific job before you sign.

Bottom line

Use Hollywood's permit portal to follow the public record, and verify each company and qualifying agent in the state registry before signing a written, project-specific agreement.
