東麻布天本 is a sushi restaurant in Tokyo’s Higashiazabu neighborhood, in Minato City. The small restaurant has eight seats and serves guests in two seatings each day.

Service and Hours

The first seating runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and the second from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. The restaurant is closed Sundays and is entirely smoke-free. The menu is an omakase course starting at ¥35,000; beverages are billed separately, and prices may vary by season and day. Guests may bring their own drinks with advance approval, for a ¥4,000 corkage fee per bottle.

Reservations and Attendance Policy

Reservations are handled through the OMAKASE platform. Changes to the reservation time or party size are not accepted; guests must cancel the existing booking and make a new one. Cancellations and party-size reductions are handled in the “Upcoming Reservations” section of the OMAKASE account. Allergies, ingredients to avoid, and special requests—such as celebrations or additional assistance—should be submitted through the reservation details on the same platform.

Reservations are personal and nontransferable: they cannot be given to another person, and the person who made the booking must attend. Guests are advised to arrive a little early; late arrivals may mean fewer courses are served. A delay of more than 30 minutes cancels the reservation and the seat may be given to another guest. For urgent issues on the day of the visit, such as being more than five minutes late or reducing the party size, the restaurant provides an email contact. New reservations are not accepted by email, and inquiries generally do not receive a response.

Guidelines During the Visit

The restaurant asks guests to be discreet when taking photos: pictures should be quick, without flash or shutter sounds that could disturb other diners, and should not include staff. These guidelines help preserve the experience in a very small dining room.
