Consular Affairs Office, Embassy of Japan to the Holy See

Japan’s Embassy to the Holy See is based in Rome at Via della Conciliazione 15, near St Peter’s. Telephone: +39 06 6875 828; email: japanemb.holysee@va.mofa.go.jp. The official directory identifies Koji Abe as ambassador.

Japanese residents in Vatican City are asked to consult the mission about passports, certificates and civil-status filings. Vatican residents holding Holy See or Vatican State passports can use the published Japanese visa procedure, which requires an appointment and a specific document set.

Visa appointments are requested by telephone or email with applicant details and three preferred times; wait for confirmation before travelling. The consular counter has two weekday sessions. The public page says overseas voting is not handled here and refers users to Japan’s Embassy in Italy.

We do not record a Google rating or count without a verified exact listing. The published instructions are narrow and do not establish eligibility for other residents or passport holders.
