Épopée
A Charonne bistro with Yurika Kitano's seasonal cooking, wines chosen by Thomas Legrand and a two- or three-course lunch set.
About Épopée
Épopée occupies a spacious address on rue Léon-Frot in Charonne and finds new combinations without leaving French cooking behind. Chef Yurika Kitano works with seasonal produce; Thomas Legrand selects the wines. The MICHELIN Guide notes the freshness of the sauces and seasonings, along with vegetables from a small Perche farm and fish from small-scale catches.
The lunch menu viewed for this guide includes options such as corn soup with ricotta and coffee emulsion, Perche pork with carrot and apricot, or seasonal vegetables with hummus sauce. They are examples from the published menu, not permanent promises. Two courses cost EUR 26 and three cost EUR 32, with stated supplements for some choices. The evening menu has a different structure and price, with individual dishes such as guinea fowl with black garlic and miso.
Michelin added Épopée to its 2026 Bib Gourmand selection, a value-focused distinction rather than a star. The restaurant also welcomes visitors for wine with Iberian charcuterie or cheese, although that is not the lunch set menu. Its roomy layout and varied corners make for a more leisurely experience than a tiny counter while keeping a connection to neighborhood life.
