About Le Sept

Le Sept is on Boulevard de Belfort, on the side of central Amiens facing the railway station; the walk from the cathedral crosses the heart of the city and makes it easy to continue to a train afterwards. The brasserie pairs a broad French menu with a section the restaurant calls Bien d’ici, featuring recipes from northern France and Picardy. It offers a useful comparison with Le Quai: less riverside scenery, more of an urban brasserie.

Ficelle picarde appears in two forms: a smaller starter portion and an XL version with ham, mushrooms, cream, Emmental and fries. The menu also lists Welsh rarebit with beer and cheddar, Flemish potjevleesch, meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. On weekdays there is a lunch formula with three dishes to choose from; the menu lists ingredients and prices, helping visitors decide before sitting down or keep an eye on spending.

Available reviews paint a generally positive picture of presentation, portions and atmosphere, although some diners mention delays or uneven dishes. This is not an exclusively traditional kitchen: burgers, tartares and seasonal ideas share the menu with regional recipes, making it a practical option for groups with different tastes.

The official website lists lunch service Monday to Saturday and evening service Tuesday to Saturday; the restaurant is closed on Sundays and does not serve dinner on Mondays. Unlike Le Quai, it has no riverside terrace or Notre-Dame view, but it may be more convenient when arriving or departing by train. For a half-day route, the choice is clear: Le Quai brings the Somme-side setting; Le Sept offers a longer menu and an easier finish near the station.
