About Warpigs Brewpub
Warpigs Brewpub: Craft Beer and Texas BBQ in Copenhagen
Warpigs Brewpub is a Copenhagen establishment driven by Danish innovators Mikkeller with a dual purpose: to serve bold beers and authentic Texas smokehouse BBQ. Located in the former slaughterhouse in the Meatpacking District, the venue combines American smoking traditions with Scandinavian design of graphic and elegant lines, in an industrial atmosphere that the house itself describes as a mix of heavy metal and rock'n'roll glamour.
Beer brewed on-site
The brewery produces its own beer on the premises and serves 23 fresh varieties on tap every day, plus an occasional guest tap. The team brews up to eight different beers per week, alternating popular classics with experimental recipes, so the selection constantly changes and includes styles such as IPA, stout, or seasonal beers. The menu is completed with a selection of bottles, cocktails, spirits, and wine. For those who want to take their favorite beer home, the venue offers the possibility to fill a crowler.
Slow-smoked Texas BBQ
The kitchen follows the traditional Texas style: meats smoked at low temperature and for a long time, with dry rub spices. The offering includes beef brisket, ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, and buffalo wings. The venue warns that the meat often sells out most nights, so they recommend not arriving too late to try their tender cuts.
Events, groups, and catering
Warpigs hosts rock concerts, wrestling matches, and craft beer tap takeovers, as well as themed nights and live music. For groups and private celebrations, it has The General's Room, a room that can seat 4 to 6 diners and includes the largest XXL menu of the house, with the possibility for customers to act as DJ choosing vinyls from the venue's selection or connecting their phone via Bluetooth. The price indicated on the website is 650 kroner per person. The establishment also offers catering service and wholesale for bars, pubs, stores, and distributors interested in selling its beers.
Atmosphere and audience
The space presents itself as an industrial diner designed for after-work, casual outings, and group meals. The regular event programming and beer rotation aim to make each visit offer something different.
