Kofio

Kofio approaches specialty coffee as a choice among roasters, origins, and brewing methods. Its store brings together coffees from small Czech roasting businesses and companies in other countries, with equipment and accessories to accompany them. The company is based in Prague, while its online sales focus on supplying coffee to different European destinations.

The catalog can be searched by method: espresso, filter, AeroPress, French press, V60, moka, Chemex, vacuum pot, or capsules. It also organizes coffee by origin, with sections for Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Colombia, Brazil, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. These offer two complementary ways to choose: start with the equipment used at home or with the country where the beans originate.

Roasters include DAK Coffee Roasters, The naughty dog, Coffee Collective, Tim Wendelboe, People Possession, Father’s Coffee Roastery, Prodigal Coffee, Friedhats, Doubleshot, and Nordbeans. The selection combines offerings from cities such as Amsterdam, Oslo, Ostrava, and Boulder. Kofio brings these brands into one store, making it easier to compare coffees while distinguishing the retailer from the roaster behind each option.

Product listings show roast dates, package sizes, tasting notes, and availability. There are seasonal coffees, limited editions, and blends alongside single-origin options. Fruit, floral, chocolate, or spice notes describe each product’s advertised flavor profile. The catalog changes with batches and the roasters’ selections, making the roast date part of the choice.

The equipment section covers espresso and filter coffee makers, electric and manual grinders, scales, kettles, and coffee storage containers. Espresso tools include tampers, distributors, milk pitchers, frothers, and cleaning products. The offering extends to cold brew, water treatment, cupping, and matcha accessories, with separate sections for replacement parts and grinder care.

In Prague, Kofio lists three showrooms and pickup points in districts 2, 7, and 8. The mailing address for the company Bitforce, s.r.o. is Blanická 750/8, 120 00 Prague 2. Wholesale service and a coffee-shop map extend the store’s activities. For readers, the offering combines a selection of roasters with the tools needed to take a bag of coffee through to brewing.
