About ESSENS Restaurant
ESSENS Restaurant: fine dining in the Lednice-Valtice Area
ESSENS Restaurant is a fine dining establishment located in the heart of the Lednice-Valtice Area, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The restaurant occupies the Border Chateau, a historic building on the shore of a pond that was the summer residence of the Liechtensteins and recalls the former border between Moravia and Lower Austria. The gastronomic proposal continues the mission of that dynasty: to offer peace, elegance and an extraordinary experience through fine dining meals.
A multi-course tasting menu
The restaurant's offering revolves around a multi-course tasting dinner, made with seasonal, top-quality ingredients. The dinner unfolds at a leisurely pace and usually lasts around three hours. The menu remains hidden until the end, so that each dish is presented without prior expectations and is discovered only through taste and experience.
Czech roots and local ingredients
The culinary concept is based on Czech cuisine and prioritises local ingredients. The restaurant works from the simplicity of flavours and the quality of the raw materials and those who grow them. Most of the dishes are inspired by Czech traditions, and the team cooks what they are passionate about and believe in. The establishment's philosophy links gastronomy with attention to detail and the idea that everything we pay attention to has meaning.
Allergies and menu adaptations
The restaurant notes that its concept is based on Czech cuisine, which is strongly associated with gluten, lactose and proteins. People with serious allergies should inform them at the time of booking so that the team can try to find a suitable solution. The kitchen only makes adjustments when they do not interfere with the essential character of each dish.
