Hotel Adriatic by Maistra Collection

Hotel Adriatic stands on the old town waterfront, opposite the harbour and main square, in a position that makes Rovinj easy to explore on foot. Its scale is intimate for the area: 14 rooms and four suites, each with its own artistic character and possible views of the square, rooftops, harbour or the island of St Catherine. The hotel occupies a historic building and presents itself as an art boutique property rather than a beach resort.

The design incorporates artworks made for the hotel by Croatian artists. The ground floor houses Brasserie Adriatic, with French inspiration and local ingredients, and a bar known for a selection of more than 100 whisky brands. Guests have concierge service, room service from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, Wi-Fi and included parking in a car park about 800 metres away. The sea is roughly 50 metres away; the nearest beach is about 300 metres away.

Among public guest comments, location, breakfast, attentive service and the building’s careful design recur as positives. Some visitors point out that rooms are not alike: the category selected makes a real difference to space and outlook, and upper-floor rooms can feel more compact or have small windows.

It is a base for walking to St Euphemia’s Church in the morning and returning to the harbour at sunset, or boarding the regular service to St Catherine’s Island from the nearby jetty. The old town has narrow streets and restricted vehicle access, so coordinate luggage arrival with the hotel and use its recommended car park. Adriatic suits travellers who prioritise town life, art and water at the doorstep; it does not offer the gardens, pools and spa of a resort.
