Giancarlo Zigante has dedicated his life to truffles and over the past 25 years has worked to make them known. The discovery of the largest truffle marked the beginning of Zigante's business success, which today presents itself as a leading name in the world of Croatian truffles. The headquarters of Zigante Tartufi d.o.o. is located in Plovanija, near Buje. The business building and the processing and packaging plant for truffle-derived products were officially inaugurated in June 2008 by the then President of Croatia, Stjepan Mesić. Production at the plant is fully automated and, according to the company, the technology and expertise of its employees guarantee unique products that buyers can enjoy throughout the year.
