About Hotel Villa Dubrovnik
Hotel Villa Dubrovnik: luxury and privacy on the Adriatic coast
Hotel Villa Dubrovnik is a hotel establishment located in Dubrovnik, Croatia, in the Sveti Jakov area. The building was designed in 1961 by architect Mladen Frka as a residence for members of political elites, and in 1963 it became an annex to Hotel Argentina. By 1970, after some expansions, it was transformed into a small hotel with around thirty rooms. Its rationalist architecture distinguishes it from other Dubrovnik hotels of the time.
The hotel is situated on a cliff, surrounded by centuries-old pines, and offers views of the Adriatic Sea, the island of Lokrum, and the Old Town of Dubrovnik. Sveti Jakov Beach, Orsula Park, and the city walls are within walking distance.
Accommodation: suites and rooms with views
The accommodation offer includes several categories of rooms and suites, with differences in position, size, and views. The interiors were designed by Studio Arthur Casas. Villa Kolin Residence is the most spacious and exclusive suite, located in a secluded part of the hotel, with private access through a small pine forest and a private pool. The suites, west-facing, have names based on old Dubrovnik expressions and aim to keep the spirit of the Old Town alive.
Gastronomy: restaurants and bars
The hotel has several dining venues: Giardino Restaurant, Pjerin Restaurant, Galanto Bar, and Libero Bar. The culinary offering is based on locally sourced ingredients and Mediterranean cuisine with contemporary touches. The executive chef is Robert Račić, who highlights the freshness and seasonality of the Pjerin menu, as well as its service and presentation of local products. Among the specialties, sporki makaruli is mentioned, a long, narrow pasta with meat sauce, a traditional dish of the area.
Villa Spa and wellness
The hotel's wellness areas have been redesigned to offer relaxation. Villa Spa offers exclusive treatments that combine innovative techniques with natural Mediterranean remedies.
Events and meetings
The hotel has modern spaces for events and meetings. The conference room can accommodate up to 80 guests and can be divided into two sections, with natural light, advanced lighting options, and technological equipment. There are also open spaces for coffee or lunch breaks and a rooftop bar for cocktails. Custom menus are prepared by the chefs, fusing tradition and contemporary Italian cuisine, with a selection of Croatian and international wines. The hotel also organizes weddings, with dedicated specialists and menus adapted to specific needs.
Experiences and surroundings
Guests can enjoy personalized experiences, such as private boat trips to the Elafiti islands, exploring vineyards on the Pelješac peninsula, or art tours of the Old Town of Dubrovnik. The hotel has a hidden beach and a Mediterranean garden.
Team
The management team includes Robert Račić as executive chef, Sanda Lalić as household coordinator, Andrijan Blažević as head of reception and guest relations, and Enes Hasanspahić as restaurant and bar manager.
