About More
More, telecommunications for homes and businesses in Australia
More is an Australian telecommunications operator that offers nbn® internet plans, SIM-only mobile plans and telephony and data systems for businesses. Its offering is built around the nbn® network and 4G and 5G mobile services with no lock-in contract, according to the information on its website.
nbn® internet plans and Wi-Fi routers
The company offers nbn® plans for different speed profiles, including Fast, Fast Max, Fast Plus, Superfast, Ultrafast and Hyperfast. Availability and connection type are checked by entering the customer's address, and the site distinguishes between FTTP, FTTN and FTTC technologies. For existing customers, the website indicated that upgrading to FTTP or FTTN/FTTC is free at that stage, although the customer still pays for hardware and additional services, such as the home phone line or the SIM plan. Activation can occur within 24 hours or within one to three weeks, depending on the case.
More sells Wi-Fi routers, including eero devices, and recommends buying them for a plug-and-play installation. Its own routers are at least Wi-Fi 6, and for Hyperfast plans a Wi-Fi 7 router, such as the eero 7, is required. The company warns that technical support for customer-supplied routers is limited and that configuration is the user's responsibility.
Offers for CommBank customers
The site lists promotions aimed at CommBank customers. One of them is a $25 discount on the recommended price of a Wi-Fi router pack when signing up for a new More nbn® plan in the same transaction and paying with an eligible CommBank online bill payment method. Another offers an eero 7 for $0 upfront when signing up for a high-speed nbn® plan and keeping it connected for 36 months, with payment via an eligible CommBank method. The offer indicated an end date of 3 November 2026. If cancelled before 36 months, a penalty of $5.50 applies for each remaining month; for example, cancelling with 18 months left means $99. In multi-eero packs, the first device is free and the rest are charged at the recommended price. If the nbn service is not activated within three months, the full penalty is charged.
eero Secure subscription
Each More eero device includes an eero Secure subscription for 12 months at no additional cost, linked to a compatible More internet service. The promotional period begins on the service activation date or on the device dispatch date if the customer already had a compatible service. After that, the subscription automatically converts to a monthly payment of $2.99 (including taxes) per account, with the option to cancel. It is not possible to buy an eero without the eero Secure subscription, although it can be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period if requested at least five days in advance, or at the end of the next period otherwise. After cancellation, the device can still be used with the compatible internet service, but eero Secure cannot be reactivated with More unless a new eero device is purchased.
Mobile telephony and voice services
More offers 4G and 5G SIM-only mobile plans with no lock-in contract. It also sells home voice plans (Home Voice), which require having an active More nbn® plan or signing up for one at the same time. The site does not allow adding a voice plan if there is already another one in the cart, and in that case it asks to complete the existing purchase or empty the cart to change the products.
Business telephony and data
The company sells business-grade telephony and data systems, according to its own description. The website mentions nbn® plans for businesses and telephony systems, although the available material does not detail the specific features of these services.
Sign-up process and address verification
The site guides the user through checking availability by manually entering the address, with fields for unit, number, street name and type, suburb, state and postcode. If the address corresponds to a new development not yet connected to the nbn network, a one-off $300 new connection charge applies, regardless of the provider chosen. For Fixed Wireless Fast or Fixed Wireless Superfast plans, if the customer's equipment is old, an upgrade technician visit is scheduled, which can take one to three weeks and requires access to the property. In case of a payment verification error, the site indicates to contact support on 13 66 73 with the user ID.
