The group in Australia comprises The Hollard Insurance Company Pty Ltd and its related entities. Hollard Insurance Partners Limited, formerly Commonwealth Insurance Limited, joined the group in October 2022. The parent insurer for general products is The Hollard Insurance Company Pty Ltd, while Hollard Insurance Partners Limited acts as the insurer for home, landlord, motor and business insurance distributed by Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Hollard Commercial's commercial and motor insurance is distributed by Hollard Commercial Insurance Pty Ltd, which acts as an agent under a delegated authority agreement for the insurer Hollard.

Commitment to customers in vulnerable situations

The company has developed specific policies to support customers going through difficult situations. These include measures relating to family and domestic violence, financial hardship, deceased estates and support services. Hollard introduced clauses into its Product Disclosure Statements (PDSs) to protect customers experiencing family and domestic violence, with the aim of preventing perpetrators from financially benefiting from the insurer's products. The company also has an event and recovery team for major claims and offers accessibility services.

Women's leadership initiatives

Hollard runs the Aspire Women Leaders Program, aimed at promoting the presence of women in leadership positions within the insurance broking industry. In October 2025, the third intake of the program was announced, with 26 women selected, and since its inception it has had more than 70 participants. The company has reaffirmed its commitment to this initiative in successive rounds.

Corporate news and recognition of Country

In July 2026, Hollard announced the appointment of Tony Martiniello as its new Head of Distribution, a newly created role responsible for driving growth of the existing portfolio and developing new partnerships across Australia and New Zealand. The company also formally recognises Australia's First Nations peoples and their cultures. The insurer has also reported a cybersecurity incident affecting isolated systems used to support some broker and agency partners, which was quickly contained and involved personal information associated with some insurance claims and policies. Hollard set up a support portal for affected individuals who have received a notification.
