About AcudocX

AcudocX, a certified translation management platform based in Brisbane

AcudocX is a software as a service (SaaS) platform that manages certified translations from start to finish. Its system connects NAATI-certified translators with visa and migration agencies, language service providers (LSPs), government departments, and businesses that handle client documents in other languages. The company operates from Brisbane, Australia, and its team states it has direct experience in the Australian and international translation industry.

An automated workflow for immigration translations

The platform is designed specifically to manage straightforward immigration translations from start to finish. The process is divided into three phases: the client initiates the job by uploading the documents and choosing the translation type; a certified translator reviews and completes the required fields; and the files are then ready for secure download immediately. AcudocX allows clients themselves to enter the basic information, which according to the company significantly reduces the time spent by the translator from request to delivery of the certified translation.

The company states that its end-to-end workflow makes it possible to complete translations in under two minutes and that, on average, jobs are completed in under an hour. The system includes in-app notifications, payment processing, and document management, and is available on both desktop and mobile.

Tailored solutions for agencies, translators, and clients

AcudocX structures its offering around three user profiles:

  • Agencies: end-to-end automated workflow with an integrated community of certified translators, aimed at visa and migration agencies, LSPs, government departments, and businesses.
  • Translators: tools to manage NAATI-certified translation jobs in a scalable and secure way, with job opportunities and easy editing of assignments.
  • Clients: affordable and easy-to-use certified translation service, with self-service document management.

The platform is also presented as a solution for freelancers, small businesses, and large firms.

Project background and team approach

AcudocX was founded by Dylan J Hartmann, a Thai-to-English translator specialising in clinical trials and literature, who worked for international agencies before becoming NAATI-certified and moving to Brisbane in 2017. According to the company, most jobs requiring NAATI certification are for immigration or citizenship purposes, and although AUSIT extract translation templates existed for these jobs, the time invested by clients and translators was excessive given the relative simplicity of each assignment. That is how AcudocX came about, with the aim of offering a faster, more efficient, and more economical system, later expanded into a mobile platform designed for straightforward extract translations.

The management team is completed by Stephen St Baker as director and Stephen Jackson as solutions architect.

Languages and coverage

The platform offers wide language availability with certified translators. If a document is in a language that AcudocX does not cover, the company states that it finds and recruits a translator for that assignment.
