About Wichita Falls Dental Assistant School
Dental Assistant Training in Wichita Falls, Texas
Wichita Falls Dental Assistant School is a training center specializing in preparing dental assistants. Its program is taught in real dental offices in Wichita Falls and combines classroom instruction with direct practice on professional equipment and in professional work environments. The school presents itself as a joint initiative between Zollege and local dental offices, so students learn in the same place where patient care takes place.
The 12-Week Program
The training path consists of a twelve-week course designed to enter the job market without student loan debt. The school offers flexible start dates throughout the year and tailored payment plans. The admissions process is organized in four steps: learn about the program and contact the admissions team, complete the application by choosing a start date and payment method, pay the deposit to reserve a spot —which is deducted from tuition— and complete the program. When classes begin, students receive a set of scrubs at no additional cost.
Certifications and Career Outcomes
Upon completing the program, students receive a Certificate of Completion, a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification card through the American Heart Association, and a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license after passing the corresponding exam. This exam is taken through an online course from the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio, approved by the TSBDE, and its cost is covered by the school.
Hands-On Training and Job Support
Classes take place in working dental offices and are taught by professionals with experience in daily practice. The school provides students with a learning environment equipped with the same tools and technology used in today's dental offices. It also offers job search support that includes resume review, interview tips, and guidance from employment assistance specialists. The school stays in touch with graduates even weeks after finishing the program to help them through the job placement process.
Background: The Origin of Zollege
Zollege was founded in 2010 as Vandelay Education by Dr. Thomas Ince, a dentist who couldn't find well-trained dental assistants to hire. Rather than wait for traditional programs to change, he created his own: shorter, taught hands-on in working dental offices, and structured to be paid for without loans. His brother Ryan, a physician, faced the same problem on the medical side, and the two collaborated on a medical assistant program built with the same accelerated, in-office approach.
Upcoming Sessions and Contact
The school schedules virtual information events, such as the one titled "Build A Career That Lasts." The next class starts on October 17, 2026, with Saturday hours from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM. The center also offers a free course guide with detailed information about the program, curriculum, career opportunities, tuition costs, and graduate testimonials.
