About Westgate Community Farm Stand
Westgate Community Farm Stand is at 1130 Wabasso Drive, one block south of Okeechobee Boulevard. The nonprofit community farm says its growing area covers one acre and that it sells organically grown fruits, vegetables and fresh herbs from the site. It operates seasonally, October through May, with published Thursday hours of 2–6 p.m. and Saturday hours of 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
The farm’s crop list includes greens, beans, roots, herbs and tropical fruit, including specialty varieties rarely found in standard groceries. Local vendors add prepared and preserved foods. The organization also welcomes Saturday volunteers and describes farm-based learning opportunities, giving the stop a community-agriculture dimension beyond shopping. Cash and SNAP/EBT are accepted; Fresh Access Bucks provides a 50% discount on eligible Florida-grown fruits and vegetables for SNAP shoppers.
