Landscape Architecture Foundation Student Scholarships 2027

The Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) lists more than $150,000 for the 2026–27 cycle through more than 15 scholarships for landscape architecture students. The 2027 application is not yet open: the organization expects to announce awards and activate forms in November 2026. The general deadline published for all awards is February 1, 2027.

The opportunity may suit undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at colleges and universities in the United States or Canada. Selection is not based on one kind of merit: LAF says its awards may recognize academic performance, expand access and diversity, support original research, or address unmet financial need. Each sponsor sets individual terms, so eligibility differs among scholarships.

The organization’s timeline lists an announcement and application opening in November, jury review from February through April, and winner announcements from March to April 2027. LAF says awards are funded by sponsor-established funds and reviewed by juries from practice, academia, and industry. Because forms are still being finalized, this cycle’s award names and documents should be confirmed when the application is released.

Useful preparation includes reviewing prior awards to understand possible criteria, but not treating last year’s rules as current. Have academic records, project descriptions, and any research or design samples the new application may request ready; wait for the 2027 guidelines before submitting.
