Professional Leadership of Dr. Roxzanne J. Amos
Dr. Roxzanne J. Amos earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1997. She devotes more than 100 hours annually to continuing education in dentistry and has completed the core curriculum at the Dawson Academy. She also studies at the Pankey Institute, which specializes in complex oral health evaluations and restorations, and at the Spear Institute.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the American Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Equilibration Society. She has participated in multiple dental and medical missions in Guatemala. Born in Winter Park, Florida, she moved to Virginia Beach in 2003 and resides there with her family.
Prevention and Periodontal Health
The prevention area includes cleanings and Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT). The practice also addresses bruxism and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction. In periodontics, the site details periodontal disease, its types, causes, signs and symptoms, its relationship to general health, and its link to diabetes, heart disease and stroke, pregnancy, osteoporosis, and respiratory diseases. Tracey holds a degree in Dental Hygiene from Old Dominion University, with a minor in Psychology, and serves as President of the Virginia Dental Hygienists' Association. Susana has worked in the dental field since 2003, is bilingual, and handles dental benefits and insurance claims. Theresa began her dental career 37 years ago and has held roles in treatment coordination and finance, administration, and office management. Rebecca has over 11 years of experience as a dental assistant and Eva over 8 years.
