Dining with a property-to-plate philosophy
The castle's restaurant operates with a property-to-plate philosophy: dishes are made with ingredients grown on The Kentucky Castle's own farm and with products from local purveyors. The offering includes seasonally inspired menus and handcrafted cocktails.
Events, weddings, and spaces
The castle hosts weddings, corporate retreats, and private and public events. Among the available spaces are the Greenhouse, the Ballroom, and the rooftop. The company also organizes signature events such as the Holiday Market, the seasonal Bourbon Market, the Lavender Festival, and murder mystery dinners. The team is dedicated to supporting the planning of each gathering.

The complex has a spa and offers guided tours of the castle. The estate operates as a working farm, with gardens and animals.
History and ownership
The castle was begun in 1969 by Rex and Caroline Martin, inspired by their travels through Europe. Construction was halted for more than 30 years. In the early 2000s, new owners undertook its restoration and completion; in 2004 a fire damaged the structure and the property was rebuilt, opening to the public for the first time in 2008. In 2017 it changed ownership again and the working farm was developed. In 2023 it was acquired by TKC Hospitality Group, led by Wes Henderson, co-founder of the bourbon brand Angel's Envy.
Surroundings and access
The estate is located just minutes from Keeneland and Blue Grass Airport, in an area known for its horse farms, distilleries, festivals, and local markets.
