About Pima Community College — Downtown Campus

Downtown Campus sits at 1255 North Stone Avenue in central Tucson. Pima describes a diverse student population and active connections with business and industry as well as Thrive in the 05, a city initiative for ZIP code 85705. Its urban setting places it near downtown services, but classes and offices may occupy different buildings, so check the precise destination before travelling.

The campus offers general-education classes and business and industry programs. Its Automotive Technology and Innovation Center uses guided, flexible, self-paced instruction for people entering automotive repair; it houses general repair and Ford ASSET manufacturer training shaped with industry partners. The Advanced Manufacturing Business Incubator and Flexible Industry Training Lab support workforce development and employer collaboration. Construction, welding, machining, optics, CAD and robotics are among the technical areas connected with the campus and its training centers.

Downtown gathers admissions and advising, library and tutoring services, plus an Immigrant and Refugee Student Center and a Veteran’s Service Center with a quiet space. I-BEST classes combine academic support with career training. Adult Basic Education administration is based here, though free classes meet at several sites. Pima says parking is free at its locations and Sun Tran serves its campuses; consult the maps and the specific office or class schedule before setting out.

In brief

Pima’s central Tucson campus combines business and workforce programs with dedicated support for immigrant, refugee and veteran students.
