Pima Community College — Desert Vista Campus

On Tucson’s southwest side, Desert Vista Campus brings classrooms and career programs closer to residents and employers in that part of the city. Pima lists the address as 5901 South Calle Santa Cruz. The site serves nearby neighborhoods and businesses, and some of its training is geared toward local industries and schedules unlike a traditional four-year program.

Programs here include Culinary Arts and Hospitality, Early Childhood Education and Post-Secondary Teacher Education. Shorter workforce options include Business Technology, Medical Office, Surgical Technology and preparation for Certified Nursing Assistant or Licensed Nursing Assistant roles. Length depends on the credential, prerequisites and course sequence; the current class schedule identifies which sections meet at this campus.

The Center for Integrated Learning combines tutoring, library services, adult education, study areas and a computer commons. Desert Vista also hosts federally funded TRIO support for enrolled students and pre-college programs such as Upward Bound. Pima lists a partnership with the adjacent Desert Vista Fitness Center that is open to students. College-wide transportation information says parking is free at all locations and Sun Tran serves its campuses. Confirm the building, class and service location before travelling.
