Kavee

Kavee, guinea pig cages and accessories

Kavee is a specialty guinea pig products store that operates through its website with shipping to the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. The company presents itself as an alternative to conventional cages and claims that more than 100,000 guinea pig owners trust it. Its catalog is organized around C&C cages, fleece liners, and daily care accessories.

C&C habitats and cage systems

Kavee's core product is C&C cages, a modular system that the company sells in different sizes depending on the number of animals. The catalog includes the Kavee C&C Habitat 4x2, 5x2, and 6x2 models, intended for up to two, up to three, and between three and four guinea pigs, respectively. The company also sells individual parts for these cages, allowing them to be expanded or components to be replaced.

Fleece liners and cleaning accessories

Alongside the cages, Kavee offers a line of fleece liners that serve as the base of the habitat. The range includes pocket liners, plush fleece liners, and an extra soft version. The company also sells litter boxes for guinea pigs and rabbits, hay bags, and a laundry bag for maintaining the liners. Cleaning and essentials products are grouped in the cleaning and essentials section.

Collections and limited editions

The catalog is organized into themed collections with its own prints. These include Mushroom, Coastal, Sunflower, Pigcasso, Piggy Mania, Radiant Rainbow, Nordic Nature, Dalmatian, Dusky Blue, Bold Black, Daisy, and Fall. The Mushroom collection includes a tunnel, a fleece liner, and a limited-edition cuddle cup. The company also has items for rabbits, such as specific C&C cages, fleece liners, and accessories.

Habitat accessories

The accessories range includes cuddle cups, hides and houses, tunnels, and hay bags. These products are presented as complements for guinea pigs to rest and stay active within the habitat. The store groups them by category and by collection, and some items are offered in several colors.

Shipping, currencies, and customer service

The site allows shopping in US dollars, British pounds, and Canadian dollars, with country selection for the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. It accepts payments with American Express, Apple Pay, Diners Club, Discover, Google Pay, Maestro, Mastercard, PayPal, Shop Pay, Union Pay, and Visa. The company maintains a help center, shipping, returns, and privacy policies, and handles wholesale inquiries. The catalog shows occasional promotions, such as 10% off two liners and 15% off three or more, with no code needed.

Informational content and brand origin

Kavee publishes guinea pig care guides on its blog, with articles on introducing guinea pigs to other pets, the safety features of C&C cages, month-by-month raising, health, and facts about the species. The founder, Clementine, explains that she created the company after considering that the products available for guinea pigs were unsafe, cruel, and poorly designed. The company states that its designs aim to make cleaning easier and reduce animal stress.
