About Hillsborough College — Ybor City Campus Training Center
At 5610 East Columbus Drive, the Ybor City Campus Training Center is a workforce-training site rather than a general campus. HC says it serves more than 1,000 students a year through hands-on instruction, computerized learning and high-tech simulators. The published training fields include collision repair and refinishing, automotive service, diesel systems, heavy-equipment service, fire academy and fire science, police academy, and welding.
The college describes seven career paths and advertises both short workforce programs and longer technical sequences; individual clock-hour totals, entry requirements and schedules differ by credential. A career counseling and placement coordinator helps prospective trainees explore options. The center page lists 813-253-7633 for general information and an enrollment information form for people deciding which program fits.
This center is separate from the main Ybor City Campus at 2112 N. 15th Street. Check the exact classroom and program location before travelling, since the two addresses are several miles apart. HC’s location directory provides the address and map link; use current HART routes and the college’s parking instructions to plan arrival.
Hands-on workforce education in automotive repair, diesel, heavy equipment, fire services, law enforcement and welding.
