Garttmeyer Moving & Storage

Garttmeyer Moving & Storage is a family-run company based in Southampton, north of Philadelphia, and its corporate history dates its beginnings to 1925. Its local service centers on Bucks County, Montgomery County, Philadelphia and southeastern Pennsylvania. The company says it works with National Van Lines to coordinate out-of-state and international moves, so a long-distance route may involve a national network and a different process from a local move.

For regional moves, it lists local service, full or partial packing, fragile-item preparation, furniture protection and secure storage. The company describes a 25,000-square-foot facility in Southampton and short- or long-term storage options. Ask whether storage is included in the estimate, how goods will be inventoried and what each additional day will cost.

Favorable comments visible on the exact Google Maps listing mention courteous service, professionalism, punctuality and careful furniture handling. Some reviews describe repeat moves and praise the crew’s experience. These are individual accounts tied to the Southampton listing; for a different move, also consider building access, distance and the services written into the contract.

The PUC lists Garttmeyer Moving & Storage Inc as an active household-goods operator under utility code 755950, with insurance filings recorded. This profile refers to its Southampton office. State registration is a useful check for operations within Pennsylvania, but it should not be interpreted as automatic approval for every origin and destination because the approved territory must be confirmed for each route.

The official address is 955 Jaymor Road, Southampton, PA 18966; the phone is (215) 355-8787 and the site lists office hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Its form lets customers request a quote. Ask whether the proposal is binding, which services Garttmeyer performs directly and which part of a long route is handled through National Van Lines; put protection, delivery, storage and exclusions in writing.
