Tilt

Tilt is a financial technology company offering credit cards, cash advances, and lines of credit by evaluating income and expenses, not just credit history.

About Tilt

Tilt, financial technology for accessing credit and cash

Tilt is a financial technology company, not a bank, that offers credit cards, cash advances, and lines of credit. Its approach is based on evaluating an applicant's financial health through more than 250 signals, rather than relying solely on traditional credit history. The company states that three out of four customers are approved for cash or credit the same day.

Credit and cash products

Tilt's catalog is organized into three main products:

  • Credit cards: issued by WebBank. They allow you to pre-qualify with no impact to your credit score and be ready to use the instant you're approved. Cardholders may be considered for a limit increase as early as four months.
  • Cash advance: offers $10 to $500 instantly, with optional instant delivery and possible fees. No interest or late fees apply, and no credit check is required.
  • Line of credit: issued by FinWise Bank, with limits up to $1,000 and designed to build positive credit history. It accepts applications from any credit score, starts at $200–$400, and can reach $1,000 over time. It offers flexible repayment options.

Financial management tools

The platform includes features to support users. AutoSave lets you set a savings goal and move money aside whenever your budget allows. Credit score monitoring tracks your progress in real time with personalized tips. Personalized budgeting shows where your money goes, with breakdowns and caps you control.

Subscription model and availability

Tilt charges an $8 monthly subscription with automatic renewal. New customers get a 14-day trial; those who do not wish to pay must cancel before it ends. Returning customers are charged the fee immediately. Cancellation can be done from the billing section of the mobile app or by email. The monthly fee does not apply to Tilt Visa credit cards.

The full suite of products is not available in all states. Cash advance is not offered to residents of Connecticut, Maine, or the District of Columbia. The line of credit is subject to credit approval and payments are reported to credit bureaus; missed payments can negatively affect your score.

Scale and customer ratings

The company reports more than 5 million customers and more than $16 billion in cash and credit extended. It has accumulated more than 741,000 reviews with a 4.8 rating. The company notes that Trustpilot ratings are publicly available and subject to change.

Operational details of the service

Same-day spending through Apple Pay or Google Pay is available only to applicants approved for Tilt credit cards without additional verification and who meet the risk assessment criteria. Eligibility may change and the service may be unavailable due to processing delays, technical difficulties, or scheduled maintenance. In the second quarter of 2026, the average offer was $98 for new customers and $172 for all others. Banking services and the debit card are provided by nbkc bank, Member FDIC.
