About Ojo Spa Resorts

Ojo Spa Resorts: two hot springs complexes in northern New Mexico

Ojo Spa Resorts operates two distinct properties in northern New Mexico: Ojo Santa Fe Spa Resort and Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs. Both complexes sit at over 6,000 feet in elevation and offer visitors the chance to bathe in natural springs, with lodging, spa treatments, and farm-to-table cuisine. The company presents itself as a destination for rest and wellness, with an offering that combines the use of hot springs with hotel and dining services.

Ojo Santa Fe Spa Resort

Ojo Santa Fe is located in the La Cienega Valley, just minutes from downtown Santa Fe. The complex occupies 77 acres and has three communal soaking areas: spring-fed thermal pools, a seasonal saltwater swimming pool, and a private Ojito overlooking the pond. The waters are heated to various temperatures to suit bathers' preferences. Accommodations include hotel rooms, suites, casitas, vintage trailers, and private homes, some with private soaking pools, kiva fireplaces, private courtyards, and full kitchens. The resort presents itself as a refuge for rest and relaxation, with poolside hammocks and an award-winning spa.

Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs

Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs is one of the country's oldest health spas, established in 1868. It is located between desert cliffs and a cottonwood bosque, and its geothermal mineral waters flow from a subterranean volcanic aquifer. It is one of the few places in the world where the waters, naturally sulfur-free, contain four healing minerals: iron, soda, arsenic, and lithia. The complex has twelve communal hot springs and offers the option to reserve a private tub. Daily access to the hot springs is open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. with no reservation required.

Accommodations and included services

Both properties offer a variety of accommodations including hotel rooms, suites, casitas, vintage trailers, and private homes. Some units feature private soaking pools, exclusive soaking access, traditional kiva fireplaces, private patios, and full kitchens. All stays include unlimited access to the communal pools from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., both on the day of arrival and the day of departure. Accommodations are equipped with Ojo brand bath and body products, locally sourced coffee and teas, and Pendleton blankets. There are no resort fees. Common services include free WiFi, walking and biking trails, and free morning yoga.

Dining and farm

Ojo Santa Fe has Santa Fe's only water-side restaurant, serving fresh farm-to-table cuisine. Ojo Caliente offers a dining experience with fresh produce from Ojo Farm. The company states that Ojo Farm is the largest farm in the United States owned and operated by a resort.

Spa and wellness experiences

Both complexes offer spa treatments at award-winning waterside facilities. Available experiences include packages such as Ojo Bliss, which combines a day of spa and soaking for $225 per person; Dos Ojos, a double soaking package for $175; and Soak & Stretch, which includes a 90-minute yoga session and daily soaking for $65, available only at Ojo Caliente. Wellness retreats are also offered, such as the Digital Detox, which includes 25-minute infrared sauna sessions and a float tank. The company also markets lodging packages with discounts for New Mexico residents (20% off overnight stays) and residents of neighboring states such as Arizona, Colorado, and Texas (10% off Sunday through Thursday stays).
