About GF Contemporary
GF Contemporary: contemporary art on Canyon Road, Santa Fe
GF Contemporary is a contemporary art gallery located at 707 Canyon Road, Santa Fe, New Mexico. Founded in 2009 by Deborah Fritz, it focuses on process and media-driven art, with less emphasis on the representational. The gallery represents modern, contemporary, and emerging artists working in sculpture, painting, and printmaking.
Program and artists
The gallery exhibits works ranging from meticulous craftsmanship to profound conceptual narratives. Its collection includes sculptures, paintings, installations, and mixed media. GF Contemporary describes itself as a dynamic space that celebrates the diversity of artistic expression and seeks to foster an inclusive and accessible art community.
Corporate art collection services
GF Contemporary offers small and large companies a tailor-made art collection management service. This service includes defining an identity for the collection that expresses the company's core values, sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing works, logistical management (shipping, insurance, framing, hanging, conservation), and collection integration through guided tours, events, documentation, and catalogue. The gallery maintains that a well-curated collection can provide a unique client experience and differentiate the company, and that art in the workplace facilitates communication between employees and stimulates productivity.
Private sales
The gallery offers a personalized brokerage service for clients who wish to buy artwork privately. This service emphasizes total confidentiality, private provenance, due diligence for authenticity, and a close network of collectors and trusted art advisors. Its current clients include some of the most important private collections, art funds, and foundations in Europe. The gallery's fees are included in the sale price and are only charged in the event of a sale.
Community commitment
GF Contemporary contributes its skills and resources to projects that benefit the community. Its initiatives include helping direct client art donations to local charities, developing and organizing art sales, auctions, and special events for local causes, contributing time and expertise to the development of archives and exhibitions for nonprofit organizations, and serving on museum and arts organization boards around the city.
