About Atelier Crenn
Atelier Crenn, three-Michelin-star French fine dining in San Francisco
Atelier Crenn is a fine dining French restaurant located in San Francisco, owned and led by chef Dominique Crenn. The name itself refers to the concept of a workshop or studio, an idea the chef uses to define her modern vision of French cuisine. The project was born as a space for personal expression, conceived as a tribute to her French heritage and to what the house calls 'poetic culinaria'.
Career and Michelin accolades
The restaurant earned its first Michelin star in October 2011, barely a year after opening. The following year it received its second star, making Dominique Crenn the first female chef in the United States to achieve that recognition. In November 2018 she surpassed her own record by earning a third Michelin star, also becoming the first female chef in the United States to do so. The establishment currently holds three stars.
Dining offering and restaurant services
The offering is built around a menu that the site presents under the heading 'Our Menu'. Information available to diners includes an FAQ section, guidance on dietary restrictions and details about the 'Continuum Series'. The restaurant also offers private dining and event hosting, as well as the option to purchase gift cards and items from the 'Crenn Collection'.

Alongside the main restaurant, the chef's activity extends to two other projects mentioned on the site: Bar Crenn and Bleu Belle Farm.
