About City College of San Francisco — Evans Center

Evans Center is at 1400 Evans Avenue in Bayview–Hunters Point, a working campus built around career training and access to employment pathways. CCSF lists instruction in automotive and motorcycle technology, construction and custodial services, alongside its MakerSPHERE learning space. CityBuild, the city’s construction workforce program operated with CCSF, connects eligible San Francisco residents with training and job-placement support. The center remains an active teaching site during renovation work; the live schedule identifies the classes and buildings available in each term.

Admissions and financial-aid help are listed in Room 101, counseling in Room 104, the library in Room 223, and career services are also available on site. Muni routes 19, 44 and 54 serve the area, with the T line’s Evans station nearby. CCSF says the campus parking lot is free for students and employees; this is not a public visitor-parking promise. The main published phone for the center is 415-550-4440. Applicants interested in hands-on trades can ask whether their course begins here and what safety gear, prerequisites or placement steps it requires.

Unlike the Ocean Campus, Evans is not presented as a broad one-stop academic center. Its strength is the link between instruction, practical facilities and workforce services in the southeast part of the city. Check the address on the class listing before travelling, especially while renovation phases are under way.

In brief

Workforce-focused instruction in automotive, motorcycle, construction and custodial trades, plus CityBuild and student support services.
