About San Diego Mesa College — Main Campus

Mesa College occupies a 104-acre site in Kearny Mesa, bordered by Tecolote Canyon and connected to the surrounding area by campus roads, bus service and the Rosa Parks Transit Station. The college map helps distinguish the academic core, student services, parking structure and athletic fields. Student permits are required for most parking Monday through Friday during posted hours; Mesa also lists ten free visitor spaces in Lot 1, subject to posted rules. Daily permits are sold through ParkMobile, and semester rates vary by permit type.

The college opened in 1964 with 1,400 students and 25 programs. Its current academic portfolio spans transfer study, associate degrees, certificates and career education in areas such as health, engineering and science, language and literature, business, and social and behavioral sciences. Mesa offers a bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, a pathway that combines health records, data and information systems. Students can also find athletics, an art gallery, the Mesa Commons, gardens and an observatory; the current campus map and department pages identify which resources are open to students and visitors.

The address is 7250 Mesa College Drive, San Diego, CA 92111; general information is 619-388-2600. New applicants begin with SDCCD admission, then use counseling and the program map to choose courses and verify their sequence. Mesa’s cost page lists the shared district fee of $46 per unit and a $377 nonresident surcharge effective Fall 2026, plus applicable fees; the campus also has foundation scholarships and financial-aid advising. Students should compare aid deadlines, residency status and their course schedule before estimating a semester bill.
