About San Antonio Athletic FC — Winter Program
San Antonio Athletic FC is a former-player-founded club that separates its youth ladder into Micro Academy, Junior Academy, Junior Select and senior Select rather than treating every child as a travel player. Its current Winter 2026 offer covers boys and girls from U4 to U19. Teams are grouped by birth year and gender, so a family should use the club’s age guidance rather than relying on school grade alone. This breadth gives younger beginners an entry point while retaining a route for older players who want a more structured team environment.
The winter season is scheduled for December 6, 2026 through February 14, 2027, with no training or games during the December 21–January 1 holiday break. The fee schedule lists a $205 registration payment plus three $139 installments, with processing fees added; together, the listed payments total $622 before those fees. Teams usually train twice a week between 6 and 8:30 p.m., commonly Monday/Wednesday, Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/Thursday. The club says each team’s actual evenings are set by age and gender, so check the roster assignment before building a weekly routine.
SAAFC publishes four San Antonio-area training locations: STAR Soccer Complex, St. Thomas Episcopal, St. Mary’s University and Somerset Academy Collegiate. The address below routes to STAR, but the player may be assigned elsewhere. This is important for families comparing the full cost of a season: the official page lists installment amounts but does not present a single all-inclusive total that covers travel between fields, gear or every team expense. The club’s contact page directs program questions to separate administrators. Check the club’s current training sites and contact person before registering.
