About American River College — Main Campus

The main campus sits in north Sacramento, where American River College combines university-transfer study and career education with spaces for science, trades and student life. The college began in 1955 and moved to its current 153-acre site in 1958; it is now one of the Los Rios colleges. Its published address is 4700 College Oak Drive.

The campus’s scale becomes clearer on foot: the Diane Bryant STEM Innovation Center houses classrooms and labs for science, technology and engineering, while the Evangelisti Culinary Arts Center is home to the student-run Oak Café restaurant and bakery. The college also lists library services, arts events and athletics. Check the campus map for the right building and consult district parking information for daily or semester permits.

The site is north of downtown, and the district publishes building and parking maps for students and visitors; a daily permit is $2 and an automobile semester permit is $41 in fall and spring. The district’s UTP fee funds regional transit for enrolled students, charged per unit. Before an appointment, locate the building and check the transit service to campus.
