About Renton Technical College Foundation Scholarships
The Renton Technical College Foundation lists more than 50 scholarships for different programs and uses one general application to consider students for multiple funds. The Winter 2027 window is open from September 28 through October 26, 2026; the Foundation expects to notify applicants on December 7. The next published Spring window runs January 11 through February 1, 2027.
Which funds can be combined depends on each scholarship’s criteria and the student’s circumstances; one application does not mean everyone receives the same award. The college offers workshops and advises students to check Foundation information and the campus system. If the winter date has passed, the spring window may offer another opportunity, though not necessarily for every fund.
Selected scholarships are credited directly to the student’s RTC account. According to the FAQ, funds may cover tuition, program fees, books, and tools, but not living expenses. Some awards are tuition-only, a restriction stated in the individual notice. Students should therefore compare the award with the actual account balance rather than the full cost of living.
To prepare, gather the student ID, program information, class schedule, and any materials requested by the portal before starting. The Foundation invites applicants who did not qualify or were not selected to request feedback on their application and scores for a future round. The office publishes its Renton campus address and contact information; confirm the application was received before the deadline.
