About Reedley College — Main Campus
Reedley College is about 30 miles southeast of Fresno in the San Joaquin Valley, where orchards and agriculture shape the surrounding landscape. It opened in 1926 with 30 students and moved to its present site in 1956, on land associated with the historic T. L. Reed Ranch. The college describes a large campus with its own instructional farm, setting its agriculture and natural-resources training apart from the district’s more urban sites.
Seven pathways cover agriculture and natural resources, art and music, business, early childhood education, industrial and manufacturing fields, social sciences, and STEM. The campus has workshops, labs, a library, advising, financial aid and student services; its Center for Early Childhood and Education includes observation and practice classrooms for students training in early education. Coursework can lead to certificates, associate degrees or university transfer. Associate degrees generally start at 60 units, while actual completion time depends on course sequence, availability and student workload.
Reedley provides ESL advising as well as help selecting a pathway and building an education plan. Admission begins online, followed by the orientation, assessment and registration steps in the current calendar. California residents pay the state enrollment fee of $46 per unit; nonresidents also pay the district’s published additional charge. FAFSA, CADAA and the California College Promise Grant may reduce costs for students who qualify. A permit is required for campus parking. Because Reedley is outside Fresno, plan the trip and confirm whether a course meets in person, in a hybrid format or online.
