Wake Tech — Public Safety Education Campus

The Public Safety Education Campus sits at 321 Chapanoke Road in south Raleigh. It is a specialized teaching site rather than a general-purpose campus: Wake Tech’s academy and public-safety programs use purpose-built settings for instruction, simulation and practice. The college’s location page gives driving directions from downtown and I-40; GoRaleigh also serves the area, and students can use the regional GoPass.

Academic routes include Criminal Justice Technology, Emergency Medical Science and Public Safety Administration. Non-degree instruction covers Basic Law Enforcement Training and in-service work for law enforcement, corrections, fire and rescue, and EMS. The campus contains a forensics lab, incident-command and simulation rooms, defensive-tactics spaces, and a mock courtroom and jail. Wake Tech says its training academy holds CALEA accreditation.

This site also houses barbering instruction and a student barbershop open to the public, a useful example of how a workforce-training campus can serve local residents. Campus-wide student support and a Care Center are available, but visitors should check entry rules before arriving for a class, appointment or public service. Student parking requires the college vehicle registration and decal.

Public comments on this specific listing mention clean, orderly facilities and staff who helped visitors find services, including the barbering program. If your purpose is to apply to a degree program, ask admissions whether the first appointment belongs at this specialized campus or another Wake Tech location.
