Redemption Press
Christian publisher and bookstore offering manuscript review, publishing services, and author education.
About Redemption Press
A Christian manuscript may need far more than a printer. Redemption Press works with authors from manuscript review through publication and promotion, and it runs a bookstore for titles that emerge from that work. Its services are aimed at people sharing Bible studies, personal testimony, teaching resources, and other faith-centered stories.
Founder Athena Dean Holtz’s career helps explain the approach. She entered Christian publishing in 1987 and established Redemption Press in 2014 after WinePress Publishing closed. The new company was created, she says, to support authors left without publishing help. That history cannot promise a result for every book, but it places the project in the world of independent Christian publishing.
An author’s first step is deciding what help the manuscript needs. The publisher offers an initial manuscript review along with publishing, editing, design, and marketing services. Discovery calls are available as well. An initial conversation can separate work the writer can do from work requiring a professional team and clarify exactly what a particular proposal includes.
The bookstore does not treat every title as the same sort of product. Its shelves include Bible studies, group resources, memoirs, inspirational works, and stories for different ages. For readers, it is a bookstore with a recognizable focus; for authors, it shows the kind of catalog their work might join. A thematic fit is still different from a promise of acceptance.
Redemption Press also publishes articles, podcast conversations, and book-marketing education. One initiative is Book Marketing Pro Academy. These resources address the work that begins after printing: presenting a book, finding readers, and continuing to engage with them. Open educational material should be distinguished from separately contracted services.
Before purchasing a publishing package, read the service agreement, manuscript submission guidelines, and terms for each stage. Review, copyediting, design, printing, distribution, and promotion are different jobs; authors should know who retains rights, what files they receive, and which costs continue after publication. The website provides contract documents and FAQs for that review.
Redemption Press brings two audiences together: someone who hopes to publish and someone looking for a book to read or study. The first needs to examine the publishing process carefully; the second can browse a specialized catalog. For both, the publisher’s interest lies in preparing a work of faith to reach its readers well.
