Allen & Coles Moving Systems

The Portland office is part of a regional network with locations in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Allen & Coles lists service to places such as Augusta, Bar Harbor, Lewiston and Portland; check the state page to see whether your origin is within its quoted area.

Services include residential and commercial moving, packing, supplies, storage and options for valuable items such as custom crating. The company also describes hoisting for oversized pieces. Note stairs, access, lifts and specialty items when you first request an estimate.

Favourable comments reviewed for the Portland office mention staff communication, punctuality and careful handling on particular moves. These are individual customer accounts, not a guarantee; ask for a written inventory, packing scope and storage terms with your estimate.

Maine licensing rules need careful reading: state section §552 on an operating-authority license is repealed. The Attorney General explains that federal rules apply when a move crosses state lines; for an in-state move, confirm with the authorities which requirements apply to the contracting entity.

The company offers an estimate form and free in-home or virtual estimates. Provide full addresses, dates and shipment size, and identify in writing which company will serve as carrier on a long-distance move.

To check availability and request an estimate, use the official form to ask about service and request an estimate provided by the company.
