About Plantation Athletic League Soccer
Plantation Athletic League (PAL) is the city’s volunteer recreation-sports network, and soccer is one part of a wider youth program. The City lists baseball, basketball, soccer, flag and tackle football, softball, cheerleading and lacrosse among its offerings. The soccer season for 2026–27 runs from November into February and is organized by age and gender: a clinic for four- and five-year-olds, then divisions from age six through high school. The fall registration window has closed; PAL’s July notice said late requests would go onto waiting lists, so families should check with the league about any opening.
The City’s 2026 program catalog lists recreation-soccer fees of $150 for Plantation residents and $200 for nonresidents, and clinic prices of $120/$170. The older published FAQ explains that clinic places emphasis on age-appropriate activities and small-sided games, while team soccer meets two weekdays and Saturday. It also notes that financial help is available to qualifying families. Because the current season is active and the next rates may change, ask the Parks and Recreation registration desk for the upcoming fee, proof-of-residency rules and whether a hardship application is available before submitting a form.
Registration and play happen at different addresses. The City identifies Central Park’s Multi-Purpose Building at 9151 NW 2nd Street for new-player registration; PAL teams use municipal parks and fields, including Pine Island Park and two lighted fields at Seminole Middle School. The official league website publishes team rosters, schedules and rainout notices, which matter more than a general office pin on game day. The school fields are used in the evenings and on weekends; families should check the actual division schedule before choosing a route.
PAL is a community league rather than a paid academy: volunteer coaches build the teams, and the City administers registration and field access. That can make soccer one entry point into a neighborhood sports network where siblings may choose different activities. A family comparing it with Plantation FC Rush should separate the recreational season from a travel-club commitment, and check where the child will play, what uniform is included and whether a place is available before driving to Central Park.
