Community College of Philadelphia — West Regional Center

CCP’s West Regional Center is at 4731 Ludlow Street, near 48th Street and the Market-Frankford Line in West Philadelphia. It opened in 1992 and now uses 25 classrooms across two buildings. For students who live or work west of Center City, this smaller site can bring an initial college schedule closer to home while keeping the Main Campus only a few miles away for services or classes that are not offered locally.

The center focuses on Liberal Arts and transfer preparation, including social and behavioral science, psychology and religious studies. CCP’s catalog also lists on-site placement testing, registration, academic and personal counseling and tutoring at regional centers. Students can use the West location as a place to meet advisers and take eligible courses, but should confirm whether a full degree plan can be completed there or needs online or Spring Garden classes. The nearby Career and Advanced Technology Center has a separate address and a different technical focus.

The college identifies the 46th Street stop on the Market-Frankford Line and SEPTA bus routes 21, 31, 42 and 64. The center is close enough to the CATC that some services and parking directions refer to both sites; confirm the destination on your appointment. If your goal is a transfer degree, compare the available West Center course sequence with the receiving university’s requirements. For a first visit, call the listed center number to check office hours and whether placement or advising is available that day.
