About Community College of Philadelphia — Northeast Regional Center
The Northeast Regional Center stands at 12901 Townsend Road near Route 1 in Philadelphia’s Far Northeast. CCP describes it as the largest and most independently functional of its regional centers: more than 50 classrooms sit alongside a bookstore, learning commons, computer and group-study rooms, biology lab, art studio and dining area. The campus lets residents complete selected programs without traveling to Spring Garden every day, while central student-service teams rotate schedules at the center.
Programs that can be completed here include Health Care Studies, Liberal Arts, Liberal Arts–Social/Behavioral Science, Medical Assistant and selected proficiency certificates. The medical-assistant program is designed as a short certificate and the college says it can be completed in as little as two semesters, subject to course availability and requirements. Advising, admissions, career connections, financial aid, English-language learner support, disability services and testing are listed among the center’s services; check the weekly service schedule before planning an appointment.
SEPTA bus routes 14 and 84 serve the area, and CCP publishes driving directions from I-95, the Turnpike and Roosevelt Boulevard. The center is set up for car access, but confirm current parking information with the campus before a long visit. Its combination of classrooms, science facilities and student services makes the Northeast location practical for students balancing study with family or work in the northern part of the city. Confirm whether the selected program is fully available there or includes online and Main Campus sections.
